Suitability & Eligibility Policies

Suitable For:
Adults - Min Age to Stay 21 years old. Supervision of adults in unit for ages younger. No grad groups, no stags/stagetts
Non-Smokers Only No smoking allowed.
Young Adult Groups 17-24 With Accompanying Age-Eligible Adult(s) Must have adult of minimum 21 years old for booking unit and supervision during stay.
Not Suitable For:
Graduation & Stag/Stagette Parties No Grad, Stag or Stagette Parties
Pets No pets allowed. No exceptions. Guest liable for costs of special cleaning, including carpets, if housekeeping staff detect any presence of pets in the property.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Damage Deposit
All payments are processed via PayPal.  When full guest information is received, a PayPal invoice will be sent.  At that time, 
the invoice can be paid by credit card.  Payments are required to reserve.  Unit is reserved on a first-paid basis.
Terms of payment are:  25% of full rental amount to reserve.  Balance plus damage deposit payable 45 days prior to arrival.
A separate invoice for the balance will be sent if reservation is made over 45 days in advance.

Marketplace Lodge: there is a fully refundable $200 damage deposit ($500 on long term stays) that is due with balance payment.  Damage deposit will be refunded shortly (2 - 3 days) after departure via a credit to the payment method used on PayPal. 
On Normal Stays: Room must be left in normal lived-in condition (as in a hotel room stay).   Please load and start dishwasher, and remove garbage to bins.
On Long-Term Stays:  unit will be left clean and in same condition as when rented, less normal wear and tear.  Extra cleaning costs will be charged for excessive cleaning or repairs required.
Cancellations Made by Guests Non-refundable deposit. Balance of payment is refundable, less 6% transaction fees, if booking is cancelled 60 days or greater in advance. Reservations cancelled 59 days or less in advance are refunded only if we are able to replace your booking.
Delayed Arrivals Allowed; - hotel open 24hrs. room entry via your pass code always available during your booking period. However, no refund if you miss any nights stay.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information
Marketplace Lodge: Access instructions will be emailed when balance of payment is paid.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by payment method (PayPal). Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by the due dates will result in automatic cancellation without a deposit refund. The owner will give best efforts to contact guest prior to cancellation.  Guests may re-book dates if they are still available, Deposit will not be recharged.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Guests also agree to not use Owner or Contact personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Owners and their Contact.
Property Sale Property Sale or Unrentable - We relocate you to a comparable property, or provide full refund if guest chooses.

Guest Stay Policies

Policy Description
Bike Storage Bike Storage in Building.
Check-In Time 4:00 pm.
Check-Out Time 11:00 am.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guest is responsible for paying excessive cleaning costs due to extraordinary cleaning above the typical Guest stay. Unit is expected to be left in a normal, lived in condition, dishwasher loaded and started, and garbage removed.
Excessive Noise Excessive noise affecting other guests will result in eviction without rental refund.

Unit will be clean when you arrive, and will be cleaned after you depart.  A starter supply of amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, etc) plus fresh towels and linens are provided, based on the number of guests.  Because we are not a hotel, but a self-managed apartment, further requirements are responsibility of guest.  Unless specifically agreed to, mid-stay cleans, linen or towel replacements are not provided.  Laundry facilities are available at all locations.  Mid-term cleans can be arranged, guest will be billed only actual costs.

Long-term monthly stays: unit will be left clean and in same condition as when rented, less normal wear and tear.  Extra cleaning costs will be charged for excessive cleaning or repairs required.
Amenities Availability & Usage

Lodge amenities available to all guests;  scheduled or unscheduled maintenance may restrict some facilities.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Whistler Resort.
Maintenance Emergencies Emergency number provided.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 6-person maximum.
Missing Items Charged to damage deposit. Furniture, electronics, etc missing will be charged to renter.
Noise Restrictions Multiple complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction.
Parking & Ticketing

Marketplace Lodge: One free reserved underground parking spot in Marketplace Lodge rental. 

Property Damage Guest assumes all financial responsibility for property damage incurred by tenants or guest of tenants.
Rental Accommodation Zoning Property is zoned for rentals.
Terms of Eviction Tenant will be evicted for more than 2 complaints of excessive noise or any common and private property damage, disturbing the peace.
